  • What happens if my newborn baby cries during the session?

With my years of experience doing infant photography, I have a system down and know how to work with newborn babies. We use white noise and keep the room temperature warm so the baby feels comfortable. We never rush the session, and I shoot one session a day so we are able to work on your baby’s time.

  • Do you provide all the props for the session?

I will provide all props as your newborn photographer, but if you would like to bring additional clothing and items of sentimental value for yourself and or siblings that will be part of the shoot, please feel free. All props are dry cleaned and sanitized before every newborn photoshoot.

  • What should parents wear to the photoshoot?

I recommend parents wear neutral colors such as white, off-white, or black to keep the photos timeless. Prints are usually not recommended. Once the session is booked, I will provide guidance on what to wear through my styling guide. When considering your infant photography shoot, it’s a good idea to keep things classic, while still expressing your family’s personality.

  • When is the best time to book a newborn session?

An ideal time to book your session with a newborn photographer is when the mother is anywhere between 21 and 28 weeks pregnant. Planning ahead will give us the best opportunity and prepare you and your family for an amazing experience. However, I will accommodate last-minute sessions as well, so please don’t hesitate to give me a call or fill out my form and tell me more about what you’re looking for.

  • What if my baby comes early or late?

Your due date is on my calendar, and I will check in with you two days before your due date and two days after to make sure we are still on schedule. As a quality infant photographer, I allow flexibility in my schedule to account for babies who decide they want to come early or late.

  • Do you include siblings and parents in newborn sessions?

Yes, siblings and parents are always included in every newborn photo session. Some families like to include grandparents as well, which can be included in a different package price. Infant photography is all about capturing this precious moment for your family, so all are welcome.

  • What is your turnaround time on my newborn pictures?

Typically, photos from any infant photography shoot are returned within 2-3 weeks. I do all the editing myself so that I can ensure that I provide the highest quality work. Products that are ordered are usually delivered within a couple of months.

  • What do your sessions cost?

The cost of each session varies depending on the type of photoshoot. Whether it’s a cake smash session or a newborn session, the prices will be different. The images and editing are included in the price given at the beginning unless you choose to purchase extra add ons.

  • How long does a newborn session take?

A full newborn session takes about 2-3 hours, which includes time for feeding and taking breaks. Due to their nature, infant photography sessions can be unpredictable, so packing snacks for family members is recommended.

  • How should I prepare for my newborn session?

Once the session is booked with me, I will send you a link with tips and tricks to prepare for your session. As your newborn photographer, I want you to know what to expect so that we can get the best results possible.
